Description

The target tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in systemic inflammation. TNF-α plays a central role in the pathogenesis of several autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

Our FLISA-Dtech™ – TNFα (Mouse) Kit enables the quantitative detection of free TNF-α in mouse serum and plasma using a rapid, photostable, and cost-effective approach. This assay is based on TR-FLISA, a variant of ELISA that replaces enzymatic detection with a fluorescence-based readout, offering exceptional sensitivity and robustness for the analysis of biomolecular interactions.

The FLISA-Dtech™ kit integrates Bright-Dtech™ technology, which uses lanthanide-based fluorescent nanoparticles to achieve high sensitivity and specificity in detection.

TR-FLISA Assay Principle

In this assay, detection (secondary) antibodies are conjugated to Bright-Dtech™ fluorescent nanoparticles. The signal is measured by exposing the microplate to a specific wavelength using a time-resolved fluorescence reader. The assay format is an indirect FLISA, where an anti-TNF-α antibody binds to TNF-α immobilized on the surface of the microplate. A Bright-Dtech-conjugated secondary antibody, specific to the host species of the primary antibody, is then used for detection.
