Structured around our European headquarters (Poly-Dtech) and our Asian entity (HK-Dtech), we have built a world-class international team with proven expertise in chemistry, biology, advanced detection technologies, and business development, covering key markets across Europe and Asia.

Founders

CEO – Co-Founder

Joan is currently CEO of Poly-Dtech and HK-Dtech.
Graduated with a PhD in Chemistry and eMBA, Joan had various professional experiences in the development of in vitro diagnostic tests in France and in Hong-Kong. He is also the co-inventor of the patent of the Bright-Dtech technology. Today, Joan Goetz looks after the overall development of the company in France and in Asia.

Loïc Charbonnière

CSO – Co-Founder

Loïc is a CNRS director at the Laboratory of Synthesis for analysis. His work and his team have a worldwide reputation in the synthesis of lanthanide-based complexes and nanoparticles, in their spectroscopy and morphological characterization as well as in the characterization of supramolecular assemblies. He is the author of 120 publications (>4000 citations, H: 38) and 7 patents.

Chemistry R&D manager

Mohamadou completed his university studies at the University of Strasbourg, obtaining a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a PhD in Chemical Sciences with a specialization in lanthanides chemistry. Afterwards, he worked in the environmental field as a technical manager and agency manager. He have a strong multidisciplinarity in the field of chemistry, biology and environment.

Susana Brun, Ph.D.

Biology R&D manager

After completing her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a specialization in immunology in 2011 at the University of Strasbourg, Susana joined an INSERM laboratory in Strasbourg as a post-doctoral researcher then as a project leader to implement neuroimmunology in the laboratory. Then, she worked for Sanofi at their R&D center in Strasbourg, first as research scientist and then as project leader.

General Manager

Graduated with a Master in International Trade Management, Laurent is specialized in business development across Asian markets and is the co-founder of several business ventures in Asia.

Chi Fai Chan, Ph.D.

Technical Manager

Graduated with a PhD in Chemistry, Fai is specialized in fluorescent nanoparticles for theragnostic application. He has published 34 research papers, appears in over 1000 citation (H-index: 16) and is the co-inventor of a US patent.

Product Development & Regulatory Lead

Lilia brings her expertise in quality management and biological sciences to support product development with a strong focus on compliance and performance. She leads product development and project execution, while preparing the next regulatory steps to ensure a smooth transition from lab to market.

Business development leader with deep expertise in life sciences across North America, combining technical insight with hands-on industry experience.


Advisors

Carole Poutriquet is a senior strategic management and sales professional in the life sciences sector, with almost 20 years’ international experience. She has a proven track record in developing key accounts, penetrating new markets and delivering significant sales growth. Carole excels at defining sales strategies, negotiating global contracts and managing customer success. Her dynamic leadership and ability to anticipate and prioritise make her a valuable asset to Polytech’s team of advisors.

Antoine Héron holds a PhD in molecular & cell biology and has 30 years of experience in Life Science. He first led R&D programs to design innovative solutions for regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy. Then, he has combined his scientific R&D background with a business acumen gained from holding Global Marketing, Business Development and Commercial Strategy positions, with a focus on Biopharma Materials & Technologies. From ideation to commercial success, he is passionate about new technologies, and he is committed to harnessing science and innovation as fundamental business drivers. 

Tim has been involved in the life science industry for over 38 years. Tim brings market knowledge and know-how on how to make a research company successful.

Graduated with a Master’s degree in marketing, Cédric is a former marketing and management director for multinational groups. He has over 20 years of experience in business strategy in Europe as well as Asia using cutting-edge digital technologies and advanced analytics.

Niko is Professor in the Department of Engineering Physics at McMaster University (Hamilton, Canada). His main research interests are time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy and microscopy and the application of lanthanides and nanomaterials for multiplexed Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) biosensing and bioimaging. He has published more than 140 papers and wrote 8 patents.

Graduated with a PhD in Chemistry, Gary is head of the chemistry department at the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and specialist in lanthanide chemistry for application to medical imaging and cancer inhibition. Dr. Gary Wong has already published over 100 articles and has over 2800 citations (H=34). He is also an associate editor for the Journal of Luminescence (Elsevier) and a member of the international advisory board of ChemPlusChem (Wiley).
